In New York City, a member of the black Muslims organization sells a newsletter demanding justice for African Americans. When this photo was taken, during the early 1960's racial discrimination had become a volatile issue. A militant stance toward race issues, demanding justice "regardless of the price." was taken by the black Muslims.
